Description : Henry Nyswanger/Nisewaner purchased this property as part of 122 acres from Ferdinanado Fairfax in 1803. Once the youngest of Henry's children reached 21 years of age they did a land division in 1826. Catherine Nisewaner retained about a 33 acres parcel as dower. In this division, the graveyard was included in an approximately 14 acre parcel so named' the graveyard field.' Cemetery appears to have started in September 1795 with burial of Julieann Nyswonger, then Henry Nisewaner (aka Nyswanger) died Jan 16, 1807.
