Description : In 1843 Lewis Wolfe gave a plot of land upon which Macedonia Church and Cemetery was built. It is believed the first burial plot, located a few feet from the back of the church, was that of an infant girld. Two previous churches on the site were destroyed by fire, the last during the Civil War, when the church was used as a hospital. The cemetery contains several Civil War graves.
