Description	:	In December 2007 the City dedicated a new park in recognition of Revolutionary War hero Major Thomas Lancaster Lansdale. The park, opposite the Bowie Town Center, encompasses the grave of Lansdale, born in 1748, and other family members. It is across State Highway 197 to the North of the Bowie Town Center, just off Exit 11 on Route 50.
