Description	:	A Brief History of the Mattituck Presbyterian Church Burying Ground: In 1715, one-half acre of land was donated by parishioner James Reeve 2nd for the purpose of building a Meeting House. Shortly thereafter, Mr. Reeve conveyed an additional 1-1/2 acres, adjacent to the Meeting House property, in order to establish a Burying Ground that would later be called the Mattituck Presbyterian Church Burying Ground. The oldest gravestones date back to 1723. However, many people were buried without markers, probably as early as 1715.
