The McCoy Family Cemetery was established in 1889 when Abner, Elizabeth, Samuel, Mary Jane, and Eliza McCoy set aside 72 poles of the McCoy farm, half coming from Samuel's share and half from Abner's in trust to Owen Starkey, Thomas J. McCoy, and Jackson Chandler, Trustees, "In consideration of having a burial place for our dead" and "for the benefit of the public to be used for a cemetery for the burial of the dead."...
