Description	:	Also known as the Layton/Leigh Cemetery. This small cemetery is located on Highway 1/301. It is sheltered by large oaks streaming with Spanish moss, and surrounded by an ornate rusting iron fence. The first burial was in 1886. There are 11 graves, nine of which are marked with monuments. The other two are the final resting places of Mr. J.P. Stallings and his housekeeper, Miss Charity. This cemetery is on property owned by the Folkston United Methodist Church and contains the graves of several of its members. The church was once located adjacent to the cemetery (just south).... About 1900, during the "Big Wind", the church was totally destroyed.
