Description : This early cemetery is located on the former Jacob Meyer Homestead. It stands on top of a hill in a field on private property to the east of the Shirksville Mennonite Meetinghouse. A wire fence surrounds the cemetery. Jacob Meyer, elder of the Little Swatara German Baptist congregation, warranted this 141-acre farm on November 15, 1749. It was passed on to his son and grandson who are buried in the family cemetery on the farm.
