Description : Moore's Monterey Cemetery, the historic African American cemetery founded by Lillian Taylor Thompson and Wilbert Thompson in Stuart, Florida located between Seville Street and S.E. Monterey Road, with several access gates on Seville. The cemetery was Stuart's original black cemetery. Information on the cemetery is sketchy and some of the burials are unfortunately lost to time and bad record-keeping.
