Description	:	The Mt. Zion Methodist Episcopal Church was near this site, from approximately 1830-1870, and its cemetery holds an estimated 50 to 100 burials. An archaeological study performed in August 1991 found many gravestones that were intentionally buried, probably by developers in the 1960s or 1970s that realized their mistake. The site was rediscovered by David Avant, Jr., who had been searching for the burial sites of his ancestors. All of the recovered headstones were removed for safekeeping by Leon County and are kept in an unknown location.	The Mt.
