Description	:	Mountain Station Cemetery was named after a stagecoach stand located on the old Fort Smith-Boggy Depot road. The road was a Butterfield Overland Mail route between 1858-1861. A stage stand for changing horses and a toll road over the mountain pass was established under Choctaw law in 1866. A memorial plaque is located across from the entrance to the cemetery.
