Description : Municipal Cemetery was established by the City of Galveston in September of 1900. Grave raising and filling started in 1926 and was completed in 1928. It is bordered by Avenue T 1/2 and 59th Street and occupies 3/4 of the same lot as Memorial Cemetery to its south. While there is no clear division between the two, Memorial has defined curbs and sidewalks making it relatively simple to differentiate.
