Description	:	The Nicholson-Freeman Cemetery began as a plantation cemetery for Dr. Malcom Nicholson and family. Dr. Nicholson arrived here from North Carolina in the 1820's and built his one story Gulf Coast house with a dog trot just up the road from this cemetery. It is marked by a historical marker. It is one of the oldest homes in Gadsden County, Florida, built in 1828. Built near the Little River, there were many springs, creeks and tributaries to water the cotton fields.
