Description : The Oblate Sisters of St Francis de Sales own and operate the beautiful grounds of Mount Aviat Academy, Villa Aviat (Sisters' American Motherhouse) and cemetery. The Oblate Sisters are buried here, in addition to the Sisters' family and friends. The convent was originally the Cecil County Almshouse from 1776 to the 1950s in Childs MD and unmarked burials took place in a small part of the burial grounds in which they called "potters field".
