Description : The recorded history of this small piece of land in Butler County, Ohio, begins in 1844 when Job Smith, a farmer from New Jersey, deeded one acre of property to the Trustees of the First Congregation of the Christian Disciples as a site for a church burial ground and meeting house. Job's wife, Sarah, had died the previous year and was already buried on the site. The deed states that a meeting house was "already commenced".
