Description	:	This is not to be confused with the Cayo Costa Pioneer Cemetery. The Padilla Cemetery is located on the northeast end of Cayo Costa Island and is very difficult to reach. There are no longer any markers. A direct hit from Hurricane Charley in 2004 caused shoreline erosion in the majority of the area. In 1910, approximately 30 Cuban fishermen perished in a hurricane. The bodies that were able to be recovered were buried in this cemetery. Coquina stones and palm trees had been placed as a memorial. I obtained the Florida Master Site File...
