In the lobby are the names of the battles in the vicinity of Popayan in the war of independence: Bajo Palacé, La Ladera, Alto Palacé y Calibio. The main hall of the pantheon is headed by an image of Christ Crucified and the bust of Simon Bolivar. The remains of the heroes are urns on the floor of the building.
