Description	:	In 1883 Ramón Ramírez, owner of the Hacienda de la Huerta, donated six hectares of his property located to the west of the city, to create a new cemetery for the city. The land preparation was done by Eng. Roth, while the architectural project of the entrance was made by Eng. William Woodon de Sorinne. It took two years for the cementery to be functional.
