Description	:	Robert Paslay (aka Pasley) was a Captain of the Cheraws Hill Company under General Francis Marion during the Revolutionary War. He was made a Captain by Colonel Morris Murphy on July 5, 1781. After the war, Robert Paslay settled in Laurens County, South Carolina about 1795. There he established a successful plantation and built a home. Robert and his wife are buried on the Old Paslay Family Plantation, in front of the home built about 1795 that still stands today (2015). New headstones were placed on their graves early in 1992.
