Description	:	The Old Carrs Methodist Church was known as the Peter Taylor Methodist Chapel in 1878 and it was located in Carrs, Lewis County, Kentucky to the Northwest of Vanceburg. There were about 25 graves in the small graveyard and most of them had gravestones. The earliest burial was 1830 and the latest was 1961. A new power plant was proposed to be built on the grounds of the church, but the church building was to remain. The parishoners voted to remove the church rather than leave it to fall into disrepair.
