Description	:	The Phoenix Pioneer Cemetery is located at 607 North Church Street, in Phoenix, Jackson County, Oregon one block west of Main Street. Phoenix, originally called Gasburg, was laid out by Samuel Colver in 1854 and was a stop on the Oregon & California Railroad. Samuel and Huldah Colver sold two acres of their Donation Land Claim to establish the cemetery November 16, 1874, but marked graves as early as 1857 exist at the site. These may be among those moved from an older cemetery on Graveyard Hill at the south end of Rose Street. Today, one corner of the cemetery...
