Description	:	The Poland Family Burial Ground is an elongated one-half acre area located one and one-half miles from Westernport, Maryland, along Route 135 and the Western Maryland Railway, and bounded by the Potomac River. A United Sates Survey marker bearing the name POLAND is near a tombstone. Most of the tombstones and graves were covered under mounds of earth in the 1940s by the railroad. However, courthouse deeds note the gravesites, and funeral parlors have recorded the burials there.
