Description : Acreage Purchased on Airport Road behind the Laurens Memorial Home for the Aged in the 1800's, by three men for the poor of Laurens County. The Memorial Home was built there and a cemetery for those unknown or unable to afford a burial plot was established. There are estimated to be approximately a 100 unmarked graves some of Confederate Soldiers and slaves. Old worn down field stones dot the field and sunken areas obviously old graves.
