Description : Potters' Field is located on the grounds of Washington County Health Center. The health center is located off of Old Hickory Ridge Road. The Health Center was originally known as the Washington County Home and Hospital, founded in 1830. According to a plaque, a subseqent Washington County Home was erected in 1872 on the same site. It was remodeled in 1922. The graves in the cemetery, located on a hill below the parking lot of the health center building, are marked by small stones with only numbers. According to a sign, some of those buried there are known, others unknown but to God.
