Surrounded by a rolling landscape of pine and magnolia trees, the cemetery has the grave of John Pratt, the inventor of the first patent typewriter and about twelve other graves. On the park's gate post is a plaque, which reads, “In Memory of John J. Pratt, Inventor of the Typewriter, 1866, American Legion Auxiliary Post 62, 1947.” The park area has picnic tables and a parking lot with easy access to the cemetery.
