Description	:	The following information was provided by Find A Grave Contributor Lena Campbell: The Red Shade Combs Cemetery was located off the west side of Hwy 15 between Isom and Whitesburg (Van) on a mountain point. It has now been destroyed due to strip mining/logging. In 2013, distant relatives familiar with the cemetery shared four photos with a FaceBook genealogy page prior to a logging road being cut into the area warning that the cemetery could be lost. In 2016, those who photographed the cemetery granted permission for the photos to be shared on Find a Grave. According... Read More	The following information was provided by Find A Grave Contributor Lena Campbell: The Red Shade Combs Cemetery was located off the west side of Hwy 15 between Isom and Whitesburg (Van) on a mountain point. It has now been destroyed due to strip mining/logging. In 2013, distant relatives familiar with the cemetery shared four photos with a FaceBook genealogy page prior to a logging road being cut into the area warning that the cemetery could be lost. In 2016, those who photographed the cemetery granted permission for the photos to be shared on Find a Grave. According to those who took the photos, there were 3 graves marked with stones that bore faint crosses. Two of the graves were known to be Red Shade and his wife. The third was unknown.
