| Description | : | Borisoglebsky at the Mouth The Rostov Monastery is an Orthodox male monastery on the road from Rostov to Uglich (in the village of Borisoglebsky ), which is part of the Golden Ring of Russia . The architectural complex of the monastery was fully developed in pre-Petrine times , when it was one of the richest in the Rostov metropolis , and was considered "home" by the Moscow princes and the first Russian tsars. After the 17th century, the architectural ensemble remained almost unchanged. |
