| Description | : | April 20, 2008, marked the 100th anniversary of the incorporation of Rovey Cemetery, which is located approximately one mile west of the Village of Farmersville, on Mine Ave. In 1895, Mr. William Rovey purchased a farm west of Farmersville. He, his wife, Nancy, and three children, Fred, Wilhelmina and Ida, then moved to the farm from the Rovey homestead in Christian county. Feeling the need for a local cemetery after the death of his daughter, Wilhelmina in 1903, Mr. Rovey set aside a small plot in the northeast corner of his farm to be designated as a cemetery. ...
