Description	:	St Paul AME Cemetery, associated with St Paul AME Church on Plowden Mill Road, Sumter, SC, is not located near the church. The road to the cemetery is not named with a sign, however there is a small blue sign about 10 feet west of the turn off of the Myrtle Beach Highway (US 378 E) just after a large farm with white rail fences. Read More	St Paul AME Cemetery, associated with St Paul AME Church on Plowden Mill Road, Sumter, SC, is not located near the church. The road to the cemetery is not named with a sign, however there is a small blue sign about 10 feet west of the turn off of the Myrtle Beach Highway (US 378 E) just after a large farm with white rail fences. There is a gate with a sign about 25 feet off of US 378. The road is dirt, though a wooded area, about 1/4 mile from the gate. The cemetery space is large and mowed. There are some gravesite very close to the tree line. There are a few unmarked grave sites, likely due to sinking over time, or decayed funeral home markers no long visible. Google Maps shows Bendale Road paralleling the wooded area, but that part of Blendale is no longer accessible. The road to the cemetery is though the woods. See screen shot of map.
