This cemetery originated as a family cemetery plot established by the land owner, Vincent Dillon Sr., shortly after his resettlement to Windsor Twp., in the 1840s from Monroe Co., Ohio and his purchase of land which now includes the current cemetery. It is believed the initial burial in this cemetery was likely John Dillon, father of Vincent, who died during the initial couple of years following the Dillon family resettlement from Monroe Co.
