Description	:	Seddon Cemetery also known as Awakere Cemetery 1853- Located 25km south of Blenheim, turn right just past the township onto Marama Road. Cemetery is 1.7km on left behind a wall trimmed hedge. Controlling authority is Marlborough County Council https://www.marlborough.govt.nz/services/cemeteries/cemetery-records-search who hold records since 1906. Hidden behind the cemetery in the pine forest on a hill in the SE corner are three old graves: William Simpson Smith died 20 April 1904 Aged 70 Old railing around Grave: George Kemp Died 5 July 1853 Aged 41 and his wife Marrion Mitchell Died 17 Feb 1854 Aged 42. Stone laying down and broken: Herbert Westacott Stace Aged 12 months.
