Description : Situated in a town now known as Glenwillard, Crescent Township in western Allegheny County, this small town was laid out by Peter Shouse as "Shousetown" some time after 1820. At the time Shousetown was one of the most active towns on the Ohio River, being the location of an important ship-building yard operated by Mr. Shouse.
