Description	:	The South Orange cemetery was established in 1825 and operated into the early 1900's. No interments were made after 1926, when the Village of South Orange officially closed the cemetery. The cemetery grounds were re-designated into a public park in 1965, and formally dedicated as Founder's Park in 1971. The cemetery layout is no longer evident and no gravestones remain. A single monument listing most of the interred names exists as the only memorial to those resting here.
