| Description | : | This small graveyard was once one of the most isolated in the county. Burial grounds were traditionally placed on the highest piece of land in the area which in this case meant setting it back almost a quarter mile from the nearest road. Unused for nearly 100 years, farmers plowing the surrounding fields gradually encroached on the cemetery. Only the presence of two scraggly, half dead trees prevented the place from being completely overrun. The cemetery and surrounding property were owned by the Nicholas Spicer family for many years.
