Description	:	The formal organization of St John's Church seems to have taken place in the fall of 1875. Unfortunately the records of the first two years were destroyed in a fire. The church was originally located about 1/2 mile west of its current location. A couple gravestones were found at the old location in a cluster of trees, but some research has suggested the graves were moved either to St John's current location on Co. 7 or to Zumbrota.
