Located at the corner of Johnson's Creek Road and Asbury Avenue, the country store was owned and operated by the late George C. "Swiney" Lawson (1858-1943) for 55 years. Following Swiney's death, the store was operated by Swiney's daughter, Irma and her husband, Alonza K. "Ducky" Nelson. Located not far from the historic home, "Makepeace."
