Description	:	This is a cemetery created for John and his wife Mary Stroup. Cemetery inscriptions from 1917 and 1924 show that John and Mary were buried to the rear of the Maxey School House. Research from Pat Daugherty indicates the burial was not directly behind the school house but on the Stroup Land bondary to the North with the Colburn Family and also behind the school house to some degree. Read More	This is a cemetery created for John and his wife Mary Stroup. Cemetery inscriptions from 1917 and 1924 show that John and Mary were buried to the rear of the Maxey School House. Research from Pat Daugherty indicates the burial was not directly behind the school house but on the Stroup Land bondary to the North with the Colburn Family and also behind the school house to some degree. Another record shows him buried on the Crawford Farm. Crawford owned this land to the North at one time and resulting in the inscriptors having made that note. I believe the graves to be located on the boundary and to the rear of the once standing school house. The cemetery was located in Paint Township, Madison County, Ohio. It is not catalogued in “Ohio Cemeteries 1803-2003”, compiled by the Ohio Genealogical Society.
