Description : There is a cemetery located on the old Van Vleet farm. This farm was owned by Jared Van Vleet, his son Edward, his son Henry J. and his son Edward A.Van Vleet. Part of the farm, including the cemetery, was taken by the US Government at the outset of World War II as a part of Sampson Naval Basic Training Station. It is now part of Sampson State Park.
