Description : According to the landowner, the cemetery was used by the Wells family as a cemetery for four children in the family who passed away during colder months when taking them to the primary family cemetery was not an option. It was deeded by Elias Wells (1833-1911) and Elizabeth Long Wells (1839-1910) to three of their sons, Shurdain (likely Sheridan; born 1869), John (born 1870), and Wilson (born 1880) for continued use as a "public burying ground." This cemetery was recorded for the State Historic Preservation Office by AllStar Ecology LLC under site # 46-TY-134.
