| Description | : | This cemetery was started in 1866 when William Comptons mother, Nancy was buried in it. Today it is almost gone with mostly fieldstones scattered among mature trees. It is not marked off and only 2 stones are marked. Some of the family call it the Fielding Compton cemetery. Fielding was a son of William and grandson of Nancy. The family has preserved the records of the people buried here almost all physical evidence (grave markers) is now lost. |
