Description : Wyoming State Training School started in 1912 for mentally retarded people. At the time was known as Feeble Minded. Later the place was known as Wyoming School for Defectives. The cemetery was first used in 1913. There are 465 burials. Some superintendents were Dr. Thomas G. Maghee, G.M. (Glendworth Marion) Willson, C.T. Jones and Dr. Charles E. Lane. These ones have had cottages named after them. During the depression parents dumped their children off because they couldn't afford them not because they were mentally retarded.
