Description : Rev. Jacob Albright, founder of the Evangelical Association, preached in Brush Valley in 1806. Services were held in private homes or school-houses for many years. By 1874, there were four congregations of this denomination in Brush Valley east of Centre Hall. In 1869, Yearick's Church was built on the opposite side of the Brush Valley Road from the cemetery site, Yearick Cemetery being laid out shortly thereafter. Yearick's Church had 39 members in 1883.
