She passed away Tuesday, March 15, 2005 in Paradise. She was born Feb. 11, 1922 in Leonard, Texas and was raised in Oklahoma. She worked for 13 years at Hubbards West Side Gardens and earlier as a beautician. Royce was proud to be the very first resident of Oak Knoll. Her survivors include sons, James and wife Maxine Farrar of Gridley, John and wife Ronda Farrar of Durango, Colo. and Dennis and wife Jillian Farrar of Paradise; brother, Bill and wife Vivian Smith of Granite Bay; grandchildren, Tom, Andee, Jewell, Mike, Nick, Beau, Robert, Oliver, Shannon and Danny; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded by her husband James Farrar and brother Grandal Smith.
