Glen was born in Hillsville, VA, on September 2, 1938, the son of the late Aaron and Rhoda Bowman, one of their 12 children. He was a welder by trade and worked at Harford Systems for 45 years. Glen was a veteran of the U.S. Army and served during the Vietnam War. He enjoyed fishing and gardening and was a devoted family man. Glen is survived by his wife of 47 years, Dottie E. Bowman, at home; two daughters, Lynn Ann Gobble and her husband, Kenneth H., of Middletown, DE, and Tammy Elaine Rodgers and her husband, Karl D, of North East, MD; three grandsons, Nicholas J. and Jonathon D. Gobble of Middletown, and Cody S. Bowman of North East; a sister, Gladys Culler of Aarat, VA: and a brother, William Bowman of Havre de Grace, MD. A funeral service will be held at R.T. Foard Funeral Home, P.A., 111 S. Queen St., Rising Sun, MD 21911, on Friday, October 16, 2009, at 11 a.m. Friends and family may call at the funeral home beginning at 10 am.
