Muscatine Journal and News-Tribune: Sept. 8, 1913 Page 2 CLARENCE AND AARON BUTCHER LAID TO REST The funeral services over the remains of the late Clarence and Aaron Butcher, sons of Joseph Butcher, residing at 1509 Washington street, were held this afternoon at one o'clock fom the family residence and at two o'clock from the First Baptist church. The Rev. A. H. Barker was in charge of the services. Interment was made at Greenwood cemetery. Twelve boys who were close friends of Clarence and Aaron Butcher acted as pallbearers. The floral offerings sent by chums and friends of the unfortunate boys were many and beautiful. This afternoon's closed one of the saddest tragedies that ever occurred on East Hill. Both the Butcher boys were well known and gained the friendship of all with whom they came in contact. They had reached an age at which their prospects in life were just budding and their future showed every sign of being a happy and fruitful one.
