Mr. Howell was born November 19, 1930 in Conway, SC, a son of the late Joseph Daniel and Lula Rebecca Hearl Howell. In addition to his parents, Mr. Howell was preceded in death by; his son, Ben Howell; his brothers, Woodrow, Elmer, Luther, and Mickle Howell; and his sister, Nollie Dennis. He will always be remembered by his family as a devoted husband, a loving father and grandfather. Mr. Howell enjoyed working in his garden, riding his golf cart, and performing mechanic work. Mr. Howell was born November 19, 1930 in Conway, SC, a son of the late Joseph Daniel and Lula Rebecca Hearl Howell. In addition to his parents, Mr. Howell was preceded in death by; his son, Ben Howell; his brothers, Woodrow, Elmer, Luther, and Mickle Howell; and his sister, Nollie Dennis. He will always be remembered by his family as a devoted husband, a loving father and grandfather. Mr. Howell enjoyed working in his garden, riding his golf cart, and performing mechanic work. Survivors include his wife of 62 years; Mary Elizabeth Howell; his daughters, Princess Daniel and her husband, John, of Richmond, VA, Darlene Shier and her husband, Michael, of Lighthouse Point, Fl, Sandra Connell and her husband, David, of Mt. Pleasant, SC, Rene Hunter and her husband, Harry, of Virginia Beach, VA; his grandchildren, John Daniel, IV., Alex Daniel both of Richmond, VA, Nicole Shier, Mike Shier, Ashley Shier all of Lighthouse Point, FL, Brad Hunter, Scott Hunter both of Virginia Beach, VA; his brothers, Aaron, Malachi, Amos and Fred Howell; his sisters, Frances Cook and Betty Hucks. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday at Goldfinch Funeral Home, Conway Chapel with Rev. Allen Lynch and Rev. Tereyl Prosser officiating. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00 PM Saturday at the funeral home. Memorials may be sent to Little Lamb Pentecostal Holiness Church,2260 Little Lamb Rd., Conway, SC 29527.
