| Description | : | ABIGAIL (DANE) FAULKNER, gained fame (or infamy) as a convicted witch in the Salem Witch Trials. Her very young daughters and sister were also accused. ABIGAIL only escaped hanging by being pregnant with son AMMI RUHAMAH FAULKNER. The mass hysteria of the witch hunt was over by the time of his birth. The Puritans being such merciful people did not hang pregnant women. ABIGAIL did finally receive a pardon and some financial restitution years later.
