Abraham Reiswig married Ida Lautt in 1908, and they began farming in the Harvey area. After farming for many years, they retired and moved to Harvey. Two children were born to their marriage, a son, Albert, and a daughter, Tillie. Ida Reiswig died in 1962, and Abraham passed away in November of 1966 at 90 years of age. Their son, Albert, met Lenora Keson while they were both students at Sheyenne River Academy near Harvey. They were married in 1929. Albert and Lenora farmed south of Harvey until their oldest son, Berdette, took over the family farm, at which time they moved to Harvey, where Albert was associated with Bentz Implement Co. In 1963, the Albert Reiswigs moved to Tempe, Ariz., but in 1976 returned to Harvey. The Reiswig's had four sons: Berdette of Harvey, Donald of Deer Park, Wash., Ira of Mesa, Ariz., and Curtis of Fort Collins, Colo. They also raised two grandchildren, Cindy and Trent, both of Mesa, Ariz. The Albert Reiswigs now live three miles south of Harvey. The Abraham Reiswigs' daughter, Tillie, married Ben Werth in 1936. Tillie then got her teaching certificate from Valley City in 1938. The Werths farmed south of Harvey, and Tilly also taught elementary school in various country schools in the Harvey area. They raised two foster sons, Donald Huft of Tempe, Ariz. and Clifford Huft of San Diego, Calif. In 1963, the Werths moved to Tempe, Ariz., where Tillie continued to teach the elementary grades at Thunderbird Academy. Ben Werth passed away in Scottsdale, Ariz., February of 1968. In 1976, Tillie retired from teaching and moved back to Harvey. She presently lives three miles south of Harvey, near her brother."
