Description	:	"Abraham Nutt lived in Blandford, MA for several years after his marriage on a place owned by Cornelius Cochran (his mother's brother )about a mile east of the Episcopal meeting house. Mr. Cochran lived with his daughter, Mrs. Nutt, and at the time of his death which occurred in 1831 the property came into the possession of Abraham Nutt. In the fall of 1835 he (Abraham) and his family moved to Mead, Pa. then Crawford Co. PA remaining there until 1836 when he went to Lenox, OH. Mr. Cochran lived with his daughter, Mrs. Nutt, and at the time of his death which occurred in 1831 the property came into the possession of Abraham Nutt. He lived there until 1840 when he moved to Eagleville, OH having bought the mills at that place. He remained there until his death. Mary Lindsay his wife was a typical woman of the frontier. Brave and self-reliant she was not afraid to follow where her husband led. She was very stern, and decided and firm in her character. She was a staunch democrat of the old school and hated the abolitionists. After the death of her husband she lived with her children. It was while she was living with her daughter, Susan Webb, that she met with her death. It was supposed she tipped a candle over on her bed for she was found burned so badly that she died from her injuries." An excerpt from a family reunion newspaper clipping contained the following: "In 1835 Abram and Mary migrated to Ohio to settle near Lenox Center. On their way to Ohio they resided for a time in Meadville, PA., and about this time Mary wrote in her diary, "Staid 5 months. Bought a farm in Lenox, February 10, 1836. Found ourselves in a log house in solid woods. House with only a door! I could be homesick but did not come to be homesick!" The seeds which they brought from Massachusetts were planted there and cherry and apple trees still may be seen there. About 1840 they moved to Eagleville (Ohio) and there with his sons, set up a saw and grist mill."
