Description	:	Abraham Talbot was a Revolutionary War soldier, son of former slave and Revolutionary War soldier Toby Talbot and Dinah Goold of Bridgewater, Mass. He was probably born enslaved, as his mother, Dinah Goold, was probably enslaved by Jabez and Mary (Fobes) Field of North Bridgewater (now Brockton) at the time of his birth. He married Mary Dunbar 3 September 1787 in Fourth Church of Christ, Bridgewater (now Brockton), Mass. and later removed with his family to Maine. He applied for a Revolutionary War pension in 1818, at which time he owned one acre in China, Me. with a small house and in 1820 he owned 10,000 bricks in a local kiln. His place of burial is uncertain, but it may have been in Talbot Cemetery, which contains the gravestone of his daughter-in-law Eliza (Coe) Talbot, but may have had other burials without gravestones.
