Description	:	Abram was born to Antonie and Jorien Bos on July 11, 1910 in Tracy, IA, where he spent his childhood and youth, helping on the family farm. On June 1, 1934, he married Elizabeth DeWolf. They lived in Tracy, where their three children were born. From 1948 to 1951, Peoria, IA was their home. Then the family moved to a farm two miles south of Pella. Read More	Abram was born to Antonie and Jorien Bos on July 11, 1910 in Tracy, IA, where he spent his childhood and youth, helping on the family farm. On June 1, 1934, he married Elizabeth DeWolf. They lived in Tracy, where their three children were born. From 1948 to 1951, Peoria, IA was their home. Then the family moved to a farm two miles south of Pella. It was from this home that the couple's new careers were launched. Elizabeth began what became a twenty year teaching career at Pella Christian Grade School. Abe began working at Pella Rolscreen Company, now called Pella Corp. He retired as supervisor of window production after more than twenty years of service. From retirement until the spring of 1999, Abe spent much of his time as a tour guide for Pella Corporation. In 1977, Abe and Elizabeth moved from the farm into Pella, where they lived until moving to Edgebrook Care Center in Edgerton, MN in November of 2004. Abram Bos died at Edgebrook Care Center, Edgerton, MN on November 14, 2007. Abe will be remembered for working hard and efficiently, and also for his love for singing. He grew up singing with his family and when living in Pella, sang in the Deo Gloria Male Chorus and church choir. He could still harmonize at Sing-Alongs while living at Edgebrook. Abe's children and grandchildren will remember him for his great story telling and all of his expressions, which will be passed on to future generations. Abe was a charter member of Calvary Christian Reformed Church, and later a member of Third Reformed Church in Pella. At the time of his death, he was a member of Bethel Christian Reformed Church in Edgerton, MN. Those who are privileged to love Abe most are his children Tony and Shirley Bos, Berea, KY; Jerry and Jean Bos, Weatherby Lake, MO; Lyle and Fran Huisken, Edgerton, MN; his six grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren; and his special friends Dennis and Tena Roozeboom. Abe was preceded in death by his parents; his wife of 72 years, Elizabeth; and one sister, Eva Ryken. He is loved and remembered by one sister, Tob Ryken. His witness of his Lord and his prayers on behalf of those he loved have been a blessing to many. Although Abe will be greatly missed by all who had the blessing to know and love him, his memory and vibrant spirit will live on in their hearts.
